Thank you for your vulnerability in sharing your personal experiences with your brothers.

This raw honesty makes your writing so powerful and relatable. When you mentioned the embarrassment and shame you felt, it resonated deeply.

I think many of us, when faced with such heavy topics, try to distance ourselves. It’s like admitting to something you yourself have no control over and thus feel powerless. We tiptoe around the topic, unsure how to engage. But as you eloquently put it, it’s in coming out of the shadows that the shame diminishes and healing begins. It's a reminder that we're not alone in our struggles, or in our grief.

Thank you for being brave enough to share. Such a beautiful, eloquent, message. 🩵

Phew, a powerful story and message, Eddie. This hits home. Thank you for bravely sharing your family's experiences with suicide, which helps all of us. Everyone struggles with depression at one time or another, and many contemplate suicide.

As you demonstrate with stats, it's one of the leading causes of death, and one of the saddest and most preventable, in my view. As someone who survived chronic depression and suicidal thoughts, this topic has always been significant.

I know one veteran of the Middle East who lost seven fellow soldiers to suicide. I witnessed him grieving the almost unbearable pain of being a survivor.

Thank you for writing about this difficult topic, Eddie. 🙏🏻
